The Cisco Meraki MV13M is a third-generation, cloud-managed indoor fixed-lens mini dome security camera that combines 8.4 MP / 4K video quality with a compact form factor and powerful on-board intelligence. Featuring a 1/2.8" CMOS backlit image sensor at 8.41 MP (3854 × 2176) and a 3.3 mm f/2.0 fixed lens, the MV13M captures crisp 4K footage across a wide 101.3° horizontal / 119.7° diagonal field of view — ideal for monitoring entrances, exits, corridors, and open-plan spaces. Integrated IR illumination delivers clear night vision up to 15 m (49 ft), while H.264 Smart Codec encoding and motion-based retention dramatically reduce storage consumption and WAN bandwidth demands. The MV13M differentiates itself from the standard MV13 with 512 GB of high-endurance on-board solid-state storage, providing generous local retention even in high-activity environments, with optional cloud archive tiers available for extended retention. A Meraki license is required to activate and manage this camera (sold separately).

The MV13M is built for intelligent video with machine-learning-based computer vision running directly on the camera edge. It performs real-time object detection, classification, and tracking of people and vehicles, and supports Attribute Search, Line Crossing, Area Occupancy, MV Sense, and Custom Computer Vision capabilities — turning raw footage into actionable business intelligence without additional servers or software. Motion Search, Motion Recap, and Motion Heatmaps are available natively through the Meraki Dashboard and Vision Portal, enabling rapid incident review and operational insights across any deployment scale.

Security is built in from the ground up: the MV13M features Secure Boot, full-disk AES-256 encryption, signed firmware, automatically provisioned TLS certificates, and hardware Trust Anchor Modules to protect video data end-to-end. Role-based user accounts and two-factor authentication enforce granular access control, while SAML integration supports larger organisations. The camera mounts easily to ceilings or walls via a universal mounting plate compatible with a wide range of Meraki accessories, with the sensor tiltable up to 65°, rotatable ±90°, and pannable 354° for precise aiming. NDAA, FCC, CE, RCM, and RoHS compliant. A five-year hardware warranty with advanced replacement is included.
