The Cisco Meraki MV93M is a third-generation, cloud-managed outdoor fisheye security camera that combines a true 360° field of view with powerful on-camera analytics. Built around a 1/2.3" 12.4MP progressive CMOS image sensor and a high-performance fisheye lens with a 1.6 mm focal length and f/2.0 aperture, the MV93M records at up to 2112×2112 resolution — capturing complete, wall-to-wall situational awareness across parking lots, warehouses, transport hubs, and other large open spaces. Built-in IR illuminators reach up to 20 m (66 ft), ensuring clear night-vision performance, while an internal heating element keeps the camera operational in temperatures as low as -40°C (-40°F).
Video is stored locally on the camera's 512 GB high-endurance solid-state drive using a cloud-augmented edge storage architecture — eliminating the need for on-site NVRs or VMS servers. Multiple recording modes are supported: 4.2MP (2112×2112) 360° overview and 1MP (1080×1080) 360° overview, both with H.264 encoding at up to 24 fps. High Dynamic Range (HDR) is supported, along with optimised retention settings including scheduling and motion-based recording. Live streams are accessible directly from any browser — no client software required — and video can be proxied through the Meraki cloud for remote viewing. Three built-in microphones with an external hardware privacy switch support audio recording.
The MV93M's onboard machine-learning processor enables real-time object detection, classification, and tracking directly at the edge. Built-in analytics include Motion Search, Motion Recap, Motion Heatmaps, Line Crossing, and Area Occupancy. The Meraki Dashboard provides centralised, browser-based management across deployments of any scale — from a single camera to 10,000+. Networking is provided via a 1×10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet (RJ45) port with 802.3at PoE+ power (25.5 W maximum), complemented by dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi covering 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Security features include full-disk AES-256 encryption, automatically provisioned TLS certificates, secure boot with signed firmware backed by a hardware security chip, role-based access controls, and configurable privacy windows.
Housed in a compact, rugged enclosure (137.68 mm diameter × 67.9 mm height, 1,050 g), the MV93M carries IP67 weather resistance, IK10+ vandal resistance, and EN 50155 Railway Compliance, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor environments. The camera is NDAA compliant and TAA compliant. It is compatible with a wide range of Meraki mounting accessories and carries a five-year hardware warranty with advanced replacement. A Cisco Meraki MV Enterprise licence is required to activate and manage this camera and is sold separately. Optional MV Sense and Cloud Archive licences are also available.
