The Cisco Meraki MV2 is a compact, cloud-managed indoor flex smart camera that combines enterprise-grade physical security with powerful onboard analytics in an exceptionally flexible form factor. Featuring a 4MP progressive CMOS sensor with 1080p HD video recording, a wide 103° horizontal field of view, and built-in IR illumination up to 8 m (26 ft), the MV2 delivers clear, detailed footage in a variety of lighting conditions. Its unique adjustable hinge, rotating base, and multiple mounting options — including a magnetic base plate and wall mounting kit — allow for quick, tool-friendly installation virtually anywhere indoors. USB-C power and integrated 802.11ac dual-band wireless make deployment flexible with no need to run Ethernet to every location.

Management is handled entirely through the Meraki cloud dashboard, eliminating the need for on-premises servers, dedicated VMS software, or specialist configuration tools. Firmware updates, video access controls, and analytics dashboards are all delivered via the same intuitive browser or mobile-app interface used across the wider Meraki portfolio. Role-based access, per-camera permissions, video-access audit logs, and automatic end-to-end TLS encryption ensure footage stays private and secure. Intelligent motion alerts keep teams informed of activity even when no one is actively watching, and footage can be quickly exported or shared directly from the dashboard.

The MV2 uses cloud-augmented edge storage: video is retained on the onboard SSD while metadata and analytics are delivered to the cloud, minimising WAN bandwidth consumption. For organisations that require extended cloud-based retention, the optional Meraki Cloud Archive licence (sold separately) unlocks cloud video storage and advanced smart search tools. Note: a Meraki camera licence is required to operate the MV2 and is sold separately. Either the MA-PWR-USB power adapter or MA-PWR-ETH Ethernet adapter is also required to power the MV2-HW and is sold separately.
