The Cisco Meraki MV63X is a third-generation cloud-managed smart camera that combines physical security and advanced analytics in a compact, fixed-lens mini-dome form factor. Delivering up to 4K (3840×2160) resolution with H.264 Smart Codec encoding, the MV63X captures exceptional detail for high-definition outdoor surveillance. With 1 TB of built-in high-endurance solid-state storage, cloud-augmented edge architecture eliminates the need for costly NVR infrastructure — video is stored locally on the camera while metadata is managed in the cloud, dramatically reducing both CapEx and ongoing OpEx.

Engineered for demanding outdoor environments, the MV63X carries IK10+ vandal resistance and IP67 weatherproofing ratings, along with built-in IR illuminators effective up to 20 m (66 ft) for reliable night-time visibility. Its 102° horizontal field of view and 1/2.8" 8.41MP CMOS image sensor with f/2.0 aperture make it ideal for monitoring entrances, exits, and general perimeters from walls, ceilings, or corner-mount locations. Built-in heating elements ensure continuous operation down to –40°C. The camera also holds an EN 50155 Railway Compliance certification, confirming its resilience against shock and vibration in transportation environments.

The MV63X leverages Meraki's machine-learning-based computer vision to perform real-time object detection, classification, and tracking of people and vehicles. Three built-in microphones support audio recording, while an external microphone switch offers additional flexibility. Connectivity is provided via a 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet (RJ45) port powered by 802.3at PoE+, supplemented by integrated dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi with omnidirectional antennas. Security is multi-layered, featuring full disk AES-256 encryption, automatically provisioned TLS certificates, secure boot with signed firmware, and a dedicated hardware security chip — making the MV63X NDAA compliant.
