The Cisco Meraki MV23M is a third-generation cloud-managed indoor varifocal dome smart camera that brings together physical security and advanced AI-driven analytics in a compact, ceiling-mount form factor. Powered by an 8.41 MP 1/2.8" progressive CMOS sensor and a motorised 3.0–9.0 mm varifocal lens, it delivers sharp 4K (3840×2160) video with a flexible horizontal field of view of 36°–112°, making it equally at home monitoring narrow doorways or wide open areas such as lobbies, retail floors, and office spaces. The MV23M stores footage directly on its built-in 512 GB high-endurance SSD and synchronises metadata to the Meraki cloud, eliminating the cost and complexity of traditional NVRs or VMS servers.

Edge analytics are handled by an industry-leading onboard processor, enabling real-time machine-learning-based object detection, people counting, motion search, motion heatmaps, and motion recap — all accessible directly from the Meraki Dashboard without additional software licences or servers. Attribute Search powered by AI allows operators to quickly locate people or vehicles across hours of footage. Role-based access controls, full AES 256-bit disk encryption, automatically provisioned TLS certificates, and secure boot with a hardware security chip deliver end-to-end security for video data at rest and in transit. The MV23M is NDAA compliant and backed by a five-year hardware warranty with advanced replacement.

The MV23M integrates natively with the Meraki Dashboard alongside Meraki switches, wireless access points, and sensors, providing unified visibility and management from a single pane of glass across any deployment from one camera to 10,000+. Please note: a Cisco Meraki MV Enterprise licence (sold separately, available in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10-year terms) is required to activate and manage the camera.
