The Cisco Meraki MV93X is a third-generation, cloud-managed outdoor fisheye security camera designed to deliver complete 360° situational awareness in a compact, rugged form factor. Equipped with a 12.4 MP progressive CMOS image sensor and a high-performance 1.6 mm fisheye lens, the MV93X captures the entire scene at up to 2880×2880 resolution (8MP) at 15fps — ideal for wide-area surveillance in car parks, lobbies, courtyards, transportation hubs, and any environment where total scene coverage is critical. With 180° horizontal and vertical fields of view, a single camera can replace multiple conventional fixed cameras, simplifying installation and reducing total cost of deployment.
The MV93X ships with 1TB of high-endurance solid-state onboard storage, enabling extended local video retention without the need for external NVRs or on-premise servers. Cloud-augmented edge storage means video is stored locally while metadata is processed in the Meraki cloud, enabling fast Motion Search, Motion Heatmaps, and intelligent, motion-based retention scheduling. Built-in IR illuminators provide effective night vision up to 20 m (66 ft), and High Dynamic Range (HDR) ensures clear imagery across challenging lighting conditions. The camera includes an integrated microphone with an external hardware switch for privacy-conscious audio recording control, as well as built-in 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi for flexible, cable-reduced deployments.
Purpose-built for demanding outdoor environments, the MV93X carries IP67 weather resistance and IK10+ impact resistance ratings, and is EN 50155-tested for transportation applications. It operates across an extreme temperature range of -40°C to 50°C, with internal heating elements that activate automatically in cold conditions. Security is built in end-to-end: full-disk AES-256 encryption, secure boot with signed firmware backed by a hardware security chip, automatically provisioned TLS certificates, WPA2-Enterprise wireless security, and role-based access control via the Meraki Dashboard. The MV93X is NDAA compliant and TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and regulated-sector deployments.
Like all Cisco Meraki MV cameras, the MV93X is managed entirely through the Meraki cloud dashboard — enabling zero-touch provisioning, automatic firmware updates, and remote live and historical viewing from any browser without client software. Advanced analytics including Motion Search, Motion Recap, and machine-learning-based object detection and classification are available on-device, delivering business intelligence alongside physical security. A five-year hardware warranty with advance replacement is included. Please note: a Cisco Meraki MV licence is required to activate and manage this camera and is sold separately.
